I just wrapped up MHST603 at Athabasca University. Although I was initially intimidated by the prospect of taking a research course, I have to admit I found the lessons valuable and thought I would share my final project here.
While pursuing academic research has never been a goal I aspired to, I took away a lot of learning from this course that will help me understand the research process and be better able to critique journal articles I use in my practice.
Here is a link to the research proposal I wrote during the course. Keeping my focus on emergency nursing and education, I planned the study around understanding nurses perceptions of mentorship in the ED setting.
